Celebrate your dad and mom's birthday differently by giving them cupcakes. A customer from KL came back all the way from KL to celebrate her parent's birthday....so "hoa soon" (cantonese). I am supposed to decline orders for that week as my scheduled was really full but I accepted her order as I do not want to let her down. She wanted to give her parents a surprise and show her appreciation by giving them cupcakes. Hope her parents like the cupcakes.
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
When we think of Disneyland, who do you think of....of course Mickey and Minnie mouse. All time favourites for young and old generations....do you still remember the song "M I C K E Y M O U S E"? Recently, a customer ordered 12 pieces of Mickey and Minnie theme for a children party. It's just simple and adorable..I bet the kids will love it :-)
Sexy Girl and Macho Man
A customer wanted to give cupcakes as a birthday gift to his male and female friends; he wanted to give a sexy girl theme to his male friend and macho man theme to his female friend. It was a big challenge for me to design macho man as I need to make sure it is attravtive enough..ehmmmm (you know what i mean). I am pleased with the result as it was my 1st attempt...it looks attractive to me though..hahaha.
Looney Tunes
My Philipino's friend ordered Looney Tunes theme for his best friend's son birthday. The birthday party theme is "Looney Tunes"....so I decided to combine tweety bird, bugs bunny, sylvester and duffy duck for him. I am glad with the results as I am also a fans of tweety birds..hahaa.

Year end seems to be the months for weddings and full moons. 8th Lunar month is always the most auspicious period to get married and by chance or by plan many couples gave birth during year end. If you don’t believe me, perhaps you can start counting how many pregnant ladies around you…colleagues, relatives or friends whom are about to due by year end…hehehe..

I bet parents with boys at home will sure know Ben 10 and what super power he possesses. Just like Disney princess is for the girls and Ben 10 is definitely the boys' favourite. Always a clear distinction between boys and girls! This is also my first attempt with Ben 10 character and I hope Kyle is happy with his birthday cake this year :-)

My first attempt with Little Patrick theme and I'm really happy with the outcome. Getting request for different themes really gets me going and excited doing the cupcakes despite my busy schedules. Although I just started my home baking business for just merely 2 mths ago, I've received tremendous support from families and friends. Many had gave me positive feedbacks that feels like a pat on my shoulder and like an energy booster to keep me going and going....like energizer battery hehehe!

I'm definitely not one of them...but I can still name you a few famous footballer that wears NO.7 jersey...David Beckham, Christiano Ronaldo, Michael Owen and Eric Cantona...hehehe I'm not so out of touch afterall.

Merdeka! Hooray long weekend for all of us but It has been raining over the past few days dampened the "semangat"...hehe. Anyway, been busy baking choc cakes for the merdeka promotion and preparing 3 cupcake orders for the weekend. During the preparation I realised that the fondant doesn't harden as usual and I was wondering why...hmmm...can't be the weather right? Next morning, I nearly fainted when I find my fondants all melted!!! That moment really feels like a knife piercing thru my heart...ouch it hurts so bad. I panicked...what am I going to do?? Immediately I call for help to redo the designs. Took me hours to get my babies back into shapes but the next question is - how do I keep them in shapes before delivery? It can't be in the fridge, open air didn't help, can't take direct heat...what else can I do?? Last resort we let them sleep in air cond room and viola...it works!!! So this tells you that air cond dries up your skin!!! hahaha
From this experience I've learned that humidity has a lot to do with weather you are successful with fondant or not.

A customer message me a week ago asking me whether I can do Paul Frank characters cupcakes. I didnt know what to reply coz honestly speaking I havent heard of Paul Frank in my life....ohhh should I be ashamed of how outdated I am???!! Oh well, there's always something new to learn and that's what makes life interesting, right? So, now I can even tell you who Julius is and who Clancy is...hehe. My first introduction to Paul Frank characters...teng teng teng...very pleased with the outcome!

My friend ordered 18 cuppies for her daughter, Annabelle's birthday celebration in her kindy. She told me Annabelle love to get "dressy" and looking pretty..hehe..so I thought using pink and white would the best choice as most girls love "pink" (my daughter can never get enough of this colour!) to compliments the ornaments, accesories and the beautiful dresses. Hope Annabelle will love the little princess design I've done for her...Happy Bday Belle!
